Green Country Ammo strives to provide our customers with an array of ammunition options. To help simplify the coding process, it is important to ensure our customers understand the differences between new, never fired, and remanufactured ammunition.

• New – This ammunition is made with new materials and has never been fired.
• Never Fired – This ammunition is made from reassembled components, but none of the components have been fired previously.
• Remanufactured – This ammunition is made from a previously fired component – typically signifying that the case has been used previously – but has been "remanufactured" to create a usable round.

Although 5.56 and .223 rounds look similar, they are not recommended to be used interchangeably. This is due to the way that each round type is loaded. Although, for reference, the 5.56 round is loaded to a higher pressure than the .223 round.

Like the previously mentioned rounds, 7.62 and .308 rounds also look similar but are not recommended to be used interchangeably. However, these rounds are loaded at different pressures and have thickness variations. For reference, .308 rounds are loaded to a higher pressure than 7.62, and the 7.62 round is slightly thicker.

TMJ is an abbreviation of "Total Metal Jacket." This distinction signifies that the metal casing used covers the entire bullet. Since this ammunition type is designed to limit exposure to lead, it is an excellent choice for indoor ranges.

FMJ is an abbreviation of "Full Metal Jacket." These rounds derive their name from the metal casing that covers the bullet aside from the base, which is exposed lead. FMJ ammunition is often used for training and target shooting; however, a small amount of lead left behind with each fire could make shots less accurate without proper cleaning.

Target ammunition is often used for competitive shooting and target practice in a range setting. This ammo is often more affordable than self-defense ammo and should only be used for range shooting and hobby shooting. Often, shooters will use these rounds during training to improve their muscle memory.
